Our Story

Disha Hot Sauce is a deeply personal creation from Grammy-nominated artist Omar Apollo, one born from family, memory, and a whole lot of flavor.

Long before the world heard his music, Omar’s roots were in the kitchen of El Super Taco, a small restaurant his parents ran in Indiana. There, his mother crafted a smoky, roasted hot sauce inspired by generations of tradition from their hometown of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Made with tomatillos, jalapeños, habanero, chile de árbol, garlic, and real ingredients you can actually pronounce, this sauce became a family staple, loved, requested, and passed down with pride.

Though El Super Taco eventually closed, the recipe stayed alive. In 2024, Disha Hot went from the Apollo family fridge to the national stage, thanks to a special partnership with Taco Bell. Fans got their first taste of the sauce through limited-edition packets stamped with phrases like “Hotter in person” and “My mom made this.”

For Omar, this was more than a product launch, it was a lifelong dream realized.

“Bringing Disha Hot Sauce to the world has always been my dream. I’m grateful to partner with Taco Bell to celebrate the flavors that make us who we are and create new memories with the people we love.”

From a family kitchen in Indiana to dinner tables across the country, Disha Hot is a tribute to culture, hustle, and heritage. It’s so much more than a condiment, it’s a legacy in a bottle.
